  • Do eat a varied diet
  • Do eat regular meals
  • Do listen to your body and only eat when you are hungry

  • Do eat every food in small portions
  • Do understand that weight is dependent on water fluctuations
  • Do trust your body to regulate after you ate a large meal
  • Do allow yourself to have a morning and an afternoon snack
  • Do seek some medical help if eating becomes an obsession
  • Do have seated lunches and share meals with others
  • Do remember that eating should remain a pleasure!
  • Do believe that when you want to lose weight, it’s all about consistency over time
  • Do focus on feeling your emotions instead of controlling your diet
  • Don’t restrict yourself in the amount of food you should eat
  • Don’t skip any meal to punish yourself for overeating
  • Don’t banish any food from your diet
  • Don’t listen to other people’s crazy diet ideas
  • Don’t feel guilty for eating treats sometimes
  • Don’t tell yourself that you might as well eat even more if you started to have a binge
  • Don’t expose yourself to your “binge triggers”
  • Don’t punish yourself by doing sports to compensate for food excess
  • Don’t turn down your friends’ invitation for the sole purpose of controlling your diet
  • Don’t consider Fat as a bad ingredient…your body needs oil and butter to protect your organs and produce hormones
  • Don’t indulge in comfort food when you feel lonely (But do call a friend instead!)
  • Don’t believe that you can be smarter and trick your own body…

For those of you who would like to lose weight, but in a healthy manner, I really recommend that you read this book from the French nutritionist J-P Zermati, which makes a lot of sense and will teach you how to listen to your body!
